Franklin Women are an Australian organisation dedicated to retaining women in health sciences. Named after Rosalind Frankliln, a 20th century chemist who significantly contributed to discovering the structure of DNA, and boasting Professor Fiona Stanley as their patron, this is an impressive social enterprise. Check out their website here.
Franklin Women are offering a scholarship to support conference travel for a researcher who is also a primary career for a child/children under five. The scholarship is intended to help with childcare costs, or the cost of having another family member attend. What a great idea! Applications for the first half of the year close on March 11th, and for the second half of the year close on on August 12th.
